Hand lay-up is BEIMING's primary process for custom FRP/GRP finished products. Glass-fiber reinforcement is manually positioned in a prepared mold and impregnated with resin. The actual material combination, mold and acceptance requirements depend on each project.
Start with geometry and tooling
Customer drawings are reviewed for overall size, contours, access points and interfaces. Mold design and preparation are discussed in relation to the intended part and expected quantities.
Place reinforcement and resin
In hand lay-up, reinforcement is placed by hand and resin is applied or worked into it. The agreed laminate construction must reflect the intended use; the process does not by itself establish strength or corrosion ratings.
Curing, trimming and surface finish
The molded part is allowed to cure according to the chosen material system. Demolding, trimming, openings and finish requirements must be considered in the production plan for the particular geometry.
Agree inspection and suitability
Discuss dimensions, surface quality, assembly fit, operating conditions and any required inspection or tests before an order. A photograph or generic process description does not demonstrate a universal certification.
The workshop image on BEIMING's manufacturing page shows mold measuring and layout preparation, not the manual resin application stage. Ask the team to review suitability for your specific design.
