Drawings & RFQ Checklist for Custom FRP/GRP Parts

What to include when asking a manufacturer to review a custom FRP/GRP enclosure, box or tank: drawings, dimensions, conditions and acceptance criteria.

A useful quotation starts with enough information to discuss the shape, purpose and intended quantities. A full CAD package is not assumed; a dimensioned drawing or a sketch can provide an initial basis for discussion, with acceptable formats and feasibility confirmed for the project.

Geometry and key interfaces

Show overall dimensions, contours, cut-outs, lids, mounting points and how the part connects to other equipment. Indicate which dimensions or tolerances are fixed and which still require discussion.

Intended use and operating conditions

Explain whether the product is a machinery cover, protective equipment box, basin, tank or other custom-shaped part. State what it will contain or protect, the installation environment and relevant loads or exposure conditions.

Quantity and appearance

Share an estimated order quantity, expected surface finish or color, and any requirements that affect tooling and inspection. These are inputs for a feasibility review, not a promise of a fixed minimum order.

Verification before production

List any applicable standards and proposed acceptance criteria. Material, laminate, tooling details and inspection points should be confirmed for the individual design before production is arranged.

Confidential drawings should only be shared through a channel agreed with the manufacturing team. BEIMING's website form starts a WhatsApp conversation; it does not upload engineering files directly.
